Zara Portlock

Moving from Gloucester to Birmingham to study at BCU in 2001, I have worked in the arts sector for over 14 years.

I have been lucky enough to work for a number of Birmingham-based organisations such as Creative Alliance, Friction Arts, Punch Records, Aspire Youth Project and The Drum Arts Centre. I have also worked in a wide variety of roles such as Operations Co-ordinator, Youth Project Manager, Marketing Manager and Assistant Festival Producer with a particular passion for audience development and partnership projects.

Zara loves Birmingham and it’s people in equal measure!
