PROGRAMME ASSISTANT

This is a new exciting entry level opportunity for a person interested in arts administration and production. In this role, you will provide administrative and logistical support across the dx Production and Touring team. You will support the Executive Producer and Programme Officer in the delivery of regular dx performance programme, International Dance Festival Birmingham events and dx Artist Development Programme including working with our Associate and Commissioned Artists. You will be also closely involved in administration and coordination of Jerwood Choreographic Research project activities.

We are looking for a self-motivated and confident individual with strong administration and organisational skills and an enthusiasm for dance. You will be a good communicator, self-motivated and able to work as part of a team with a resilient, can-do approach to problem solving. You will have at least 1-year experience in arts performance and/or arts administration environment.

DanceXchange (dx) is a strategic leader in the UK dance sector with an excellent reputation for a high-quality programme of small-scale UK and international touring work at the Patrick Centre. We have a growing Artist Development Programme that builds on our successful Associate Artists programme and links to our commitment to producing work. Alongside this, the biennial International Dance Festival Birmingham (IDFB) brings a remarkable line-up of outstanding dance to theatres, streets and public spaces across Birmingham and the West Midlands and creates a wealth of engaging participatory activity for people of all ages.
