DanceXchange is looking for an ambitious producer who can work with us for the next eighteen months to develop produced work for the International Dance Festival Birmingham (IDFB) 2018 and establish an innovative and holistic approach to production and touring – the PATH programme. You will work with the Executive Producer and Artistic Director to help us deliver our vision for IDFB and develop PATH.
The award winning International Dance Festival Birmingham, one of Europe’s largest dance festivals is a biennial celebration of dance that takes over the city for a month. PATH will bring together an innovative programme covering artist development, skills development, choreographic research, programming, commissioning and producing.
You will have a good knowledge the dance sector and a minimum of three years production experience in developing and producing contemporary performance. You will need excellent communication and negotiation skills, be self-motivated and well organised as well to be able to work to tight deadlines and within tight budgets.
