DanceXchange, in partnership with Sampad South Asian Arts and Heritage, is seeking three passionate and committed Principal Artists, to implement exceptional training and mentoring to the dancers on the Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) programme.
We are looking for specialists in Bharatanatyam, Kathak and Contemporary, to work closely with and support our Artistic Associates to implement their artistic visions for the three different strands of this elite programme. Your role will also oversee the core delivery team.
As our CAT programme enters its tenth year, this is an exciting time. We have taken the opportunity to review and refresh its direction and these new roles are central to achieving the programme’s new artistic ambitions.
The aim of the CAT programme is to nurture and develop confident, highly skilled, creative and adaptable dance artists, with exceptional dance technique, who are well prepared for the rigours of professional dance training and future careers in dance. As a dance specialist, this is an excellent opportunity for you to share your experience, passion and ambition with some of the UK’s most talented young dancers as they embark upon their journey towards a professional dance career.
You will provide approximately 15-20 days of input across the academic year, with a particular focus on providing exceptional technical training, ensuring a high standard of artistic excellence and overseeing the individual progress of each dancer, ensuring they reach their potential. You will be an established dance artist with the ambition, talent and experience to be an excellent role model who can inspire and motivate young people, and the proven ability to deliver exceptional quality dance training for young people.
