Digital Marketing Apprentice

DanceXchange has created an exciting new marketing apprenticeship opportunity.

This paid role will provide excellent hands-on learning and experience of communications and marketing in a busy dance organisation and festival environment. It involves assisting our teams in the digital marketing and promotion of all aspects of DanceXchange’s programme, including Birmingham International Dance Festival 2020, the city’s signature arts festival.

The role includes creating and editing content for websites, social media and print materials; assisting in social media planning and scheduling; supporting the new ticketing CRM; managing online ticket sales; and working with a wide range of people.  Additional opportunities include supporting front of house duties; merchandising; representing the organisation at promotional events and assisting on event management.

This is an excellent way to build skills, experience and networks that will kick start your career in arts marketing, social media and communications.  The job is ideal for someone with some or limited knowledge and/or experience of marketing, social media and communications. You must be organised and reliable, with a high standard of literacy, numeracy and IT skills. You will also need great communication skills and a genuine interest in the arts.

Our programme thrives on the passion, creativity and commitment of all the people we work with. We want to support Birmingham’s talent and to benefit from what you have to offer, bringing your new ways of thinking, creative ideas, and fresh new energy to our team.
