BHARATANATYAM / KATHAK / CONTEMPORARY
DanceXchange, in partnership with Sampad South Asian Arts and Heritage, is seeking three dynamic and inspirational Artistic Associates, to help steer the artistic leadership and vision of its Centre for Advanced Training (CAT). We are looking for specialists in Bharatanatyam, Kathak and Contemporary, to lead on the three different strands of this elite programme.
As the CAT programme enters its tenth year, this is an exciting time. We have taken the opportunity to review and refresh its direction and these new roles are central to achieving the programme’s new artistic ambitions.
The aim of the CAT programme is to nurture and develop confident, highly skilled, creative and adaptable dance artists, with exceptional dance technique, who are well prepared for the rigours of professional dance training and future careers in dance.
As a dance artist, this is an excellent opportunity for you to share your experience, passion and ambition with some of the UK’s most talented young dancers as they embark upon their journey towards a professional dance career.
You will provide around ten days of input across the academic year, with a particular focus on high-level artistic advice, technical direction and choreographic development.
You will be an established dance artist with current experience of making and touring work, the ambition, talent and experience to be an excellent role model who can inspire and motivate young people, and a clear artistic vision.
Fee: Subject to experience / Days: Approximately 10 days (tbc) per year. Agreed in discussion with the Associate Artist.
