FAQ’s

First Time? Please make your way to DanceXchange reception, so we can book you into your class regardless of if you have booked online or you are paying on the door. Please turn up for your class at least 10 minutes early so you have time to change and get ready for your class.

How do I purchase dx classes? We highly recommend that to guarantee entry into your chosen class you pre-book and pre-pay for classes online via our DX online booking system (not applicable for hire classes). Also, you can purchase your class in person at DanceXchange reception, subject to availability.

When you buy online you will need to set up your own account via our booking system. To book classes online please click here or alternatively click the shopping cart icon in the header of the website in order to access the account registration process and follow the simple set-up instructions.

Can I get a refund? Once purchased, tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded unless the class/event is cancelled. All tickets will be offered subject to availability at the time of booking. Please give us a call us on 0121 667 6730 to discuss further.

What should I wear? Anything comfortable that lets you move freely. You can wear tracksuit bottoms, leggings & t-shirts for most classes. Please wear light-soled trainers or dance shoes (if you have them), Contemporary and yoga classes are bare feet.

Do you have changing rooms? Yes, we have male, female and non-gendered changing facilities including showers and toilets. Our male and female facilities have accessible changing and showers.

Do you have lockers? We don’t have lockers so please take all valuable possessions with you into the studio from the changing rooms.

Do you have water available? Yes, please bring your refillable water bottle with you. You can take bottles with you into the studios

15-minute rule: You won’t be allowed to join a class if you’re more than 15 minutes late. This is because you’ll have missed the warm-up, which increases your chance of injury.

Concessions: You can get a concession if you’re over 60, full-time student, unwaged or registered disabled.  We also offer a concessionary rate for Emergency Services, NHS and Armed Forces employees and staff who work in the Birmingham Hippodrome complex.
