Production Intern

Birmingham International Dance Festival (BIDF), one of Europe’s largest dance festivals has created an exciting Production Internship.

BIDF will take over Birmingham’s theatres and public spaces for three weeks from 1-24 June 2018, enlivening the city, inspiring audiences, and creating lots of opportunities for people to take part.

This paid Internship will provide excellent hands-on learning and experience of production and project management in a busy festival environment. It involves assisting our team in delivering the outdoor and site-specific strand of our programme – and includes assisting on event management, stage management, administration, artist liaison, and working with a wide range of people. This is an excellent way to build skills, experience and networks that will kick start your career in production and project management in the arts.

This is an ideal job for someone with some knowledge and/or experience of managing projects or coordinating events. You must be highly organised and reliable, with strong administration skills and a high standard of literacy, numeracy and IT skills. You will also need great communication skills and a genuine interest in the arts.

Our festivals thrive on the passion, creativity and commitment of all the people we work with. We want to support Birmingham’s talent and to benefit from what you have to offer, bringing your new ways of thinking, creative ideas, and fresh new energy to this year’s festival team.
