State of Flux to preview new work ahead of Forgetting Natasha

News State of Flux to preview new work ahead of Forgetting Natasha

22nd October 2012

Before each of their performances of Forgetting Natasha, State of Flux will preview an extract of their new work, House on the Edge (working title), which they have been developing here at DanceXchange. The excerpt will be performed in The Patrick Centre before the main show, at 8pm each night.

A once thriving village has been gradually removed over the years by the eroding coastline. Now nothing remains apart from one house teetering on the edge. There is an urgency to leave but also a greater need to stay.

Having worked together on Forgetting Natasha, Heather Eddington and poet Anna Selby have once again come together to create a deeply moving piece of dance theatre. Collaborating with animation artist Magali Charrier, drama consultant Laura Farnworth, set designer Sarah Beaton, video artists GaiaNova and performers Ann Dickie, Nicholas Minns and Pradeep Jay, the work challenges its audiences senses through fusing dance, spoken word, digital animation and the moving image.

Forgetting Natasha, a multi-layered performance using dance, poetry and digital media, will be performed in The Patrick Centre on Thursday 25 & Friday 26 October. You can book tickets here.
