Bite Size Ignite - 6 choreographic labs, pushing boundaries of inclusive dance
The laboratories will be led by a combination of nationally-renowed choreographers, emerging choreographers with disabilities, and experienced inclusive dance artists associated with Gloucestershire Dance.

Starting on Saturday 3 December 10am – 6pm .

What is Bite Size Ignite?
Gloucestershire Dance (GD) has developed expertise in community and professional practice in inclusive dance over the past 20 years. We work with partners throughout the UK including Candoco Dance Company and The Foundation for Community Dance. Bite Size Ignite builds on the success of GD’s national Ignite programme for choreographers with disabilities. It is designed to facilitate sharing and development in the inclusive practice of disabled and non-disabled choreographers and dancers.
The laboratories will be led by a combination of nationally-renowned choreographers, emerging choreographers with disabilities, and experienced inclusive dance artists associated with Gloucestershire Dance. Laboratories will comprise: Technique class Facilitated experimentation Reflection and evaluation
Benefits of participation: Work alongside nationally recognised choreographers and experienced artists from the inclusive dance sector Learn about inclusive dance ethos and philosophy Learn about adapting movement for disabled and non-disabled dancers Share understanding of generic choreographic processes Explore inclusion-specific choreographic processes Engage in reflective and evaluative processes.

Saturday 3 December 2011 10am – 6pm
Saturday 14 January 2012 10am – 6pm
Saturday 18 February 2012 10am – 6pm Saturday 24 March 2012 10am – 6pm Saturday 28 April 2012 10am – 6pm Saturday 26 May 2012 10am – 6pm
Venues tbc, but will be based in Gloucestershire.
£100 for all 6 days, £20 per single day.
