FREE pre-show forum debate: Is there hope?

News FREE pre-show forum debate: Is there hope?

25th September 2012

Chaired by Professor Stanley Ulijaszek, join There is Hope choreographer Rosie Kay for a free pre-show forum debate.

There is Hope is the new show from Rosie Kay Dance Company, which premieres in The Patrick Centre next week (Wed 3 & Thurs 4 Oct).

Exploring faith, belief, ritual, and the confines and claustrophobia of an international cast of incredible performers and musicians the show journeys through a universe of heavens, hells and purgatories. Expect humour, black comedy, athletic performances and, in true Rosie Kay style, some unexpected and extraordinary moments of dance and theatre.

Choreographer Rosie Kay is asking big questions in this new work, about faith, morality and hope in our modern age, and invites you to debate these issues in a free pre-show forum on Thursday 4 October, at 6pm.

The debate is chaired by Professor Stanley Ulijaszek MA (Oxford), MA (Cambridge), BSc (Manchester), MSc, PhD (London), whose current research interests at the University of Oxford centre on the biocultural ecology of human populations past and present, and nutritional anthropology.
