Rosie Kay Dance Company There is Hope

3rd – 4th October 2012 // 8pm

The time is 2012, the world is about to end. There is one ticket off this so-called poisoned planet. Do you take it? Who escapes? And where are we all going?

There is Hope explores faith, belief, ritual, and the confines and claustrophobia of an international cast of incredible performers and musicians. As they journey through a universe of heavens, hells and purgatories – worlds of beauty and of the bizarre – expect humour, black comedy, athletic performances and, in true Rosie Kay style, some unexpected and extraordinary moments of dance and theatre.

Rosie Kay Dance Company has toured the UK and Europe with its unique style and strong physicality, and earned a reputation for making fierce, original and challenging dance theatre works. There is Hope is a timely, pertinent and exciting work that speaks of today.

Rosie Kay is a DanceXchange Associate Artist.

There is Hope is commissioned by DanceXchange and co-commissioned by International Dance Festival Birmingham 2012 and mac birmingham.
