Access and Inclusion

DanceXchange is passionate about bringing the joy of dance to everyone. Whether you’re a performer, a choreographer, a teacher, an audience member, or are thinking about giving dancing a go for the first time – however you want to be included, DanceXchange wants to support you.

These aims of making dance accessible and inclusive underpin all that we do, from our Class Programme to shows in our theatre, The Patrick Centre. We also deliver projects that help us to involve underserved communities in the benefits that dance can offer and have developed expertise in this field of work. Our current work includes a focus on the following communities:

    • Disabled people

    • Young people who have self-excluded from school

    • Young people affected by mental health issues

    • Young people affected by domestic abuse

    • Intergenerational groups
