Buzz! Project Manager (Maternity Cover)
Fee: £20,000 – £22,000 pro rata
Contract: 12 April 2010 – 11 February 2011, 30 hours per week
DanceXchange is seeking a Project Manager to coordinate Buzz!, a programme of dance activity aimed at young people at risk of exclusion. Buzz! works with disabled young people, and young people affected by mental health issues, homelessness or domestic abuse. Each of the four groups will work with a professional dance artist to create a performance piece, gain a Bronze Arts Award, and take part in a Gala Performance; a Leadership Project will follow on from this work, all of which relies heavily on consultation and evaluation.
Successful candidates will have a proven track record in a dance/arts project management role, experience of managing partnership work and work with underserved groups, excellent project administration skills, experience of managing budgets, strong time-management and communication skills, and an enthusiasm for dance.
The post holder will join a busy, friendly and experienced development team and will be based in DanceXchange’s office in Birmingham Hippodrome, with some work taking place in locations around Birmingham and in Cannock. Days of work will be set in discussion with the post holder.
