Chitraleka Dance Company

Indian Dance-In-Education Creative learning experiences through Indian Dance

We use classical Bharatanatyam styles from the Indian tradition, working creatively to engage with children and young people in many curriculum-based topics. Dance is an exciting and physical way to involve students in cross-curricular activities. It improves fitness, co-ordination, spatial awareness, develops communication skills and improves self-confidence. We work with Early Years, Primary & Secondary Schools to meet National Curriculum requirements. We also provide continual professional development for teachers. For more information contact Shimmy Ahmed on 0121 414 4163 or email shimmy@chitraleka.co.uk. Cost for a one-day workshop: £250 plus travel.
